Logistician III

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SOLVERE is seeking a Logistician III to manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and property in direct support of the Government Property Manager. The GFE Logistician is responsible for developing, initiating, and managing all logistics actions associated with the lifecycle management of Tactical Navigation systems and related equipment. This role requires exercising independent judgment to direct the integrated logistics process, ensuring that all GFE property is accounted for, maintained, and allocated in strict accordance with customer contracts and federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities Include:

GFE Property Management & Oversight:

  • Direct the availability, allocation, and tracking of GFE materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Assess and maintain comprehensive inventory records, tracking supply and demand metrics to monitor trend performance and accountability.
  • Protect and control proprietary materials and government property through rigorous oversight.
  • Review available resources, such as commercial technical manuals and spec sheets, to identify replacement parts or alternative component sources for GFE systems.
  • Familiarity with CMPRO (Configuration Management Professional) as the Government-approved database for all serialized and un-serialized material per PWS . Knowledge of FIAR compliance procedures including DD1149 and SF153 for validating physical property transfer per PWS . Experience tracking warranty data per DFARS 252.246-7005/7006 and submitting Warranty Tracking Information (WTI) and Source of Repair Instructions (SORI) forms (CDRL A00L) per PWS . Proficiency in Navy ILS documentation types including: AELs, APLs, ECPs, COSALs, PMS updates, DMSMS reports (CDRL A00J), and Allowance Change Requests (ACRs) per PWS.

Project Coordination & Reporting:

  • Maintain positive business relationships with key customer personnel and government property managers.
  • Provide technical data analysis and provisioning services to support project management tools, work plans, and compliance matrices.
  • Communicate the status of all project plans, inventory progress, and results to program leadership, highlighting critical GFE issues in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct analysis of logistics performance against benchmarks and service agreements, providing recommendations for procedural optimization.
  • Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective logistics support and ensure the workforce is properly equipped to handle GFE property.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Explain proposed logistics solutions and GFE status to customers and management through written proposals and oral presentations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements and minimize the impact of equipment shortages.
  • Establish task priorities, schedule work assignments, and ensure the availability of resources for the logistics team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience.

As a requirement of employment, all SOLVERE employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA (JEBLCFS) / Norfolk, VA

Travel: Required in support of field service logistics, warehouse coordination, and shipping/receiving per PWS . Estimated quarterly.

Clearance: Secret

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
